Steven's first play, his one-man show Methtacular! has earned rave reviews and played to sold-out houses across the country, including a JeffAward-nominated run in Chicago. Steven’s play, Small Jokes About Monsters, won the New American Voices Contest in Houston, Texas, was a semi-finalist at The O'Neill Center, and has had three productions across the country. His plays Mona Q: Age 38, and Safe are both in development.He is a Brooklyn-born, Jersey-raised actor and writer. He has been seen in Spamalot (Original Vegas Cast) as Prince Herbert and 4 other characters (He’s the guy who said, “I’m not dead yet,” amongst other things.) Steven has worked regionally all over the US. He has toured in shows through Europe and Asia.

Small Jokes About Monsters

Ryan says there are three different kinds of funny people: Godzillas, Mothras and Gameras. He and his two brothers rent a beach house after their estranged father's funeral to open the envelope their father left them. When their mother shows up, truths are revealed and tempers flare. Small Jokes About Monsters is a comedic family drama about how we choose to deal with trauma, and how we use humor to cover it up.
